Chelmsford Srinivasa Perumal Temple was established on 2 June 2024 to provide a sacred spiritual home for Hindu families across Essex and surrounding counties.

Dedicated to Lord Srinivasa, the temple follows traditional Agama principles, ensuring that all rituals and ceremonies are conducted with authenticity and devotion.

For many devotees living away from India, this temple is more than a place of worship. It is a connection to heritage, language, culture and faith.

From daily pujas to grand festival celebrations, we strive to create an atmosphere where every devotee feels spiritually uplifted and culturally rooted.

Our Deities

Sri Srinivasa Perumal, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is worshipped as the divine protector and the giver of prosperity, peace, and spiritual guidance. Devotees believe that praying to Lord Srinivasa removes obstacles, brings stability to life, and blesses families with abundance and wellbeing. His presence in the temple represents compassion, protection, and divine grace.
Lord Ganesha, worshipped as Vijaya Ganapathy in the temple, is the remover of obstacles and the lord of wisdom and new beginnings. Devotees pray to him before starting any important task or undertaking.
Lord Murugan, also known as Kartikeya or Subramanya, represents courage, wisdom, and divine protection. Devotees pray to Murugan for strength, clarity of mind, and success in overcoming life’s challenges.
Lord Ayyappa, the embodiment of discipline, devotion and dharma, is revered as the son of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu (in the form of Mohini). Worshipped as a symbol of unity and self-realisation, he guides devotees on the path of righteousness, inner strength and spiritual awakening.
Lord Shiva is worshipped as the supreme yogi and the embodiment of creation, preservation, and transformation. Devotees seek his blessings for spiritual growth, inner peace, and liberation.
