The current outdoor flooring can be uncomfortable and painful to walk on, particularly for children and elderly devotees.
During rainy weather, water also collects around the temple building due to inadequate drainage. Completing the drainage work will help protect the temple and improve the surrounding area ahead of winter.
The new canopy will provide much-needed shelter for devotees entering the temple, removing footwear, breaking coconuts and waiting outside during busy events.
